As a result, the HR planes even better than its already strong planing predecessor. After planing, it seamlessly transitions into powerful acceleration. Up to top speed, the sail remains easily controllable at all times. Across the entire wind range, the Cross feels balanced and light in hand. Gusts are converted into additional acceleration and speed. A batten setup with tube battens keeps the draft point permanently in place.
