FAQ
What is the Solarez Epoxy Repair designed for?
The Solarez Epoxy Repair is a UV-curing epoxy resin for repairing small dings and damage on surfboards, SUPs, wings, and other boards with epoxy or EPS cores.
How does it cure?
The resin cures exclusively under sunlight (UV light) – no mixing required, straight from the tube. It gels in seconds and is load-bearing after a few minutes.
Do I need to mix the resin?
No, the Solarez Epoxy Repair is ready to use in the tube. You apply it directly to the prepared repair area and hold it in the sun.
What types of boards is the resin suitable for?
The clear, fiber-reinforced epoxy resin is ideal for epoxy boards and EPS/Styrofoam cores – i.e., most modern surf, SUP, and foil boards.
How do I prepare the repair area?
The damaged area should be clean, dry, and slightly roughened so that the resin adheres well. Then apply the resin, hold it briefly in the sun, and let it cure.
In what sizes is the Solarez Epoxy Repair available?
The Solarez Epoxy Repair is available in several tube sizes – from the compact travel size to the larger tube for multiple or larger repairs.
Can I also use the resin to make repairs on the spot while traveling?
Yes, the tube is small, light, and easy to store – perfect for the first aid kit in your board bag.
