The smallest size at 1.2 m² is perfect for very young novice riders, while the larger sizes up to 6.5 m² will take you further as a beginner with more power and speed.

The Classic Package is a coordinated rig set – sail, mast, and boom are matched to the respective sail size, so the setup fits together from the very first moment. The mechanical universal joint reduces the strain on inflatable boards when the sail is flat on the water.

Who is the Starboard SUP Windsurfing Sail Classic Package suitable for?
It covers all skill levels, from children (from approx. 4 years with 1.2 m²) to advancing adults (up to 6.5 m²). The smaller sizes are ideal for getting started, while the larger ones provide more drive for those progressing.
What is included in the Classic Package?
The package includes a sail, mast, mast base plate, and a carry bag made from recycled material (RPET 450D). A mast base is not included with this version (wowo mast base).
Which sail size is right for my weight?
1.2 m² is for the smallest riders, 2.0 m² for children around 6–8 years old, 3.0 m² for smaller progressing riders, 4.5 m² as a versatile medium size, 5.5 m² for medium-weight riders, and 6.5 m² for heavier riders or light wind.
What material is the sail made of?
The sail is made of Dacron – robust and durable for SUP windsurfing.
What should I pay attention to when setting it up?
The mechanical power joint protects inflatable boards, as a sail lying flat in the water exerts less pressure on the board than a rubber joint. Setup instructions are available for download.
Can the rig be transported compactly?
Yes. The Classic Package uses a two- or four-piece mast and a split mast base plate; the Compact bag is only 120 cm long – ideal for transport by car or on trips.
Is the carry bag sustainable?
Yes. The bag is made of RPET 450D, which is produced by Waste2Wear from recycled plastic bottles – between 30 and 50 bottles are recycled per bag.
Is the set compatible with inflatable SUP boards?
Yes, the mechanical universal joint is specifically suitable for inflatable boards. The Classic Package version is delivered without a mast base – please check whether you have a suitable mast base on your board.
