Goya Banzai X Pro

After two years, it's finally time again: Goya is launching their new range. More vibrant, more mature, still Hawaiian. And most importantly: Lighter. The longer product cycle not only allows for greater stability in customer perception, but also longer development times for even better performance.

The sail of choice for Marcilio Brown is the 4-batten Banzai. Thanks to its many battens, the sail develops a unique profile that gives you extreme thrust even in small gusts. At the same time, you feel like the sails can be controlled with just one finger. The already softer sails have a great on/off feel for jumps or maneuvers. This flex feeling has supposedly been improved even further in the new range to allow for better balance, more power, and more speed. The special thing about the Banzais remains the incredibly comfortable control over your backhand. Pull a little more just before the wave, generate that last bit of speed, and off you go into the air. Whether on the water or in the air: as long as your back hand provides a slight pull, the sail has profile and can be steered exactly where you want it.

For those who want minimal stress when rigging, there are two boom eyelets. The upper one draws the power line a little higher through the sail, tensioning a larger sail area and capturing more wind. The lower eyelet shifts this line downwards, creating a softer sail in the top area and leech. Thus, gusts are shed from the sail faster, and you maintain control. Apart from that, Goya places the highest value on quality: folded edges, edge protectors, and Bi-Ply film, which lasts three times longer than normal monofilm as it contains a UV-resistant layer. The Banzai X Pro even has an X-Ply reinforced sail window, making it even more durable.

The sail is available in 13 sizes from 3.15 to 6.3 in the cool colors Fluo Yellow & White and Red & Fluo Yellow (Banzai Pro). The Banzai X Pro is available in Blue & Fluo Yellow and Fuchsia & Fluo Yellow.
