We hit the sweet spot

A unique happy medium. Slotting in between our Prone, Wing and Downwind boards, the Midlength is a session saviour on small or light days with excellent paddle power and an easy release to get you up on foil. The Midlength paddles like a rhino that morphs into a shortboard in flight. Forget about choosing the perfect board, just get on the water and let the board melt away as you soak in everything else.

The golden ratio of dimensions and volume results in optimum glide, stability and manoeuvrability, meaning you don’t need to be a pro to extend your time on foil.

From the shaping bay

Outline: A pointed but not overly sharp nose, gently tapering midsection and pulled in tail makes the Midlength an efficient glider for prone paddling into small or sizable surf. The Midlength is an amazing light wind machine getting airborne off the water with almost the ease of a Downwind board.
Rocker and Rails: Progressive rocker from the nose through to the foil tracks ensures lively performance in the pocket and ease of landing, while tail kick at the back allows for easy pumping and a clean release on take-off. Soft rails through the front transition into harder lines through the back for efficient flow and balanced tracking and responsiveness on the water.
Underside: Taking cues from Downwind boards, a subtle double concave at the nose transitions to flat at the foil tracks and finally to a diamond V tail shape which aids quick pop-up and maximum stick-free-ness on touch down. If a board ever wanted to stay airborne, this would be it.

More grip, more control, more soul

Redefine your footwork. Like the deck grip on our Wing FG and DW Foilboards, the Midlength’s deck grip is custom-cut to give you maximum control and comfort to enable your style across different foiling disciplines. In conjunction with the Midlength’s flat deck, the grip features raised arch bars above the foil tracks and raised wedges at the back of the pad for intuitive and unconstrained foot positioning while soul carving down a wave face or creative foot positioning while winging.

Proven construction

Maximum structural rigidity creates an elevated feel underfoot. The ultra-stiff double sandwich carbon PVC construction, combined with Armstrong’s proven top-to-bottom i-beam double stringers, results in maximum structural rigidity and durability. Proprietary carbon fibre foil tracks are integrated directly into the stringer fibres, creating a fully integrated construction.
