FULL CUSTOM CONSTRUCTION We use 100% highest quality T800 prepreg carbon and our exclusive SENTEX® resin, impregnated with silicon nanobeads.

SEGMENTED CROSS-SECTION TECHNOLOGY The result is a quantum leap in weight >< stiffness >< durability >< grip ergonomics/comfort. With weights between 1.85 and 3.10 kg (depending on length), the PLATINUM SLS are the lightest booms on the market (except for our own PLATINUM AERO booms :-). The secret to these super light weights lies in the SEGMENTED CROSS-SECTION TECHNOLOGY. Instead of the usual round cross-section, the PLATINUM SLS feature an ingenious mix of different cross-sections:

• The SQUARE FRONT SECTION with a massive wall thickness increases stiffness by approx. 30%.
• The OVAL TAIL SECTION increases horizontal stiffness by another 30%.

This makes the new PLATINUM SLS not only the lightest but also the stiffest boom available. Another advantage of the OVAL TAIL SECTION is the reduced tail weight. Due to the lever effect, this has an enormous impact on how light the PLATINUM SLS feels in the hand (= sailing weight).

GRIP DIAMETER: GRIP COMFORT VS. STIFFNESS With the diameter in the grip area, we are dealing with 2 contradictory facts:

• The thinner the diameter, the more comfortable and less fatiguing the grip is.
• The thinner the diameter, the softer the boom becomes.

The enormous stiffness generated in the front and rear allows for the use of smaller diameters than with any other boom in the grip area. Together with the INSIDE OVAL GRIP SECTION in the grip area, this leads to unparalleled grip comfort and reduced fatigue – surf longer and no more cramped forearms!

DISCIPLINE-SPECIFIC BENDING CURVES All our bending curves are designed so that the front and rear arm can adopt a natural, ergonomic position while surfing. This position varies depending on the sail type (wave >< freeride >< race), so each boom size must be developed individually.

• The 140 Mega Slim and 160 lengths have received a completely new bending curve, which we call NEW SCHOOL 2.0. For the first time, it combines the advantages of a straight new-school curve (no overstretching of the front hand) and a performance-oriented curve (greater tube spacing in the middle to avoid distorting the sail profile).
• For the 170 and 190, we use the same race curves that have proven themselves through countless regatta victories over the last decade.
