Duotone Platinum

The Platinum Series is Duotone's high-performance boom series, used by most PWA professionals. The boom is made of 100% high-quality T800 carbon fibers and SENTEX resin, guaranteeing lightness, stiffness, and durability. The head is the lightest on the market and sits firmly on the mast without damaging it.

Three lines are available:

- Wave / Freestyle 140 + 150

These sizes come in a new-school square outline to allow the rider an upright position, close to the rig and with a straight posture for arms and wrists. With the iTAIL.WAVE fitting, the sail can be comfortably threaded "loop to loop" at the clew, and afterward, the rope can be easily secured so that it no longer needs to be wrapped around the end piece multiple times. This saves time, holds perfectly, and looks tidy.

This new tail end also features grip, reducing chafing when pulling in and out, and providing excellent hold during freestyle maneuvers.

There is now a new Mega.Slim version in 140-180 with a diameter of only 24mm, making it the thinnest boom ever.

- Wave / Freeride 160

This boom is only available in one size, 160-220, but it has an impressive 60 cm adjustment range and a hybrid outline. This means it is significantly wider but with slight curves. This still guarantees a straight posture for arms and wrists. However, significantly more space has been created for large, full freeride or freerace sails. Optimal sail sizes here are specified as 4.5 to 7.8. Half of the boom end is equipped with grip to facilitate duck jibes.

- Race Series

The 170 length comes with a diameter of only 28.5mm. This is better for smaller hands and less fatiguing. The tail end goes into the boom. The outline is rather classically rounded and very full.

The two larger sizes, however, require a 30mm diameter and have a tail end that extends over the boom arms. This provides 20% more stiffness. The lines can be easily looped through using a very clever technical system. This saves a lot of time.
