JUST FLY!
The 2024 FLY II represents an evolutionary leap from the original model, distinguished by new materials, even more advanced 3D flight shapes, and a host of improvements aimed at superior performance and user experience.
While retaining the unique high lift coefficient concept, it features an even stiffer airframe and a new twist profile that significantly enhances handling and control in strong winds. The canopy tension distribution, originally derived from windsurfing sail design, has been fine-tuned to improve upwind speed and handling during upwind maneuvers. The dihedral front profile has been reshaped to increase stability when shearing, which is particularly beneficial for harnessed riders. Additional Leading Edge (LE) segments at the wingtips not only reduce drag but also provide extra stiffness, allowing the wing to point higher. The vented strut has been updated with additional stiffening at the Leading Edge (LE) in the center, which increases stability in the area forward of the fill, making the wing much more forgiving during tacking.
The FLY II is now entirely constructed from Teijin LE Dacron, significantly improving its shape stability. The trailing edge panels ahead of the frame are made from Challenge Code 95, ensuring exceptional stiffness and long-lasting shape retention. The rear windows are now Dyneema X-ply for an optimal balance of visibility, light weight, and structural integrity, while the front windows are clear PVC. The windows have been redesigned and repositioned for improved visibility.
The wide range of size options between 4.0 and 6.0 is unique to the Fly II. Compared to the previous model, we have simplified the sizing between 1.8 and 3.5 to facilitate the selection process.

SHAPE DIFFERENCES
The Fly II and Fly II PRO are very similar. The main shape differences are in the LE diameter (the PRO is much smaller) and the fact that the Fly PRO canopy appears slightly smaller when depicted as flat panels due to having a flatter entry angle to exploit the stiffness of the Aluula LE and reduce drag.
TRANSVERSE CANOPY PANELS
The new wings feature much more precise shaping, maintaining the transverse paneling that keeps their shape under load and experiences much less stretch over time. Each side of the wing now boasts 4 stitched transverse panels compared to just 2 on the previous model, significantly increasing shape stability.
