The ULTRA features centered volume and a thinner rail, which improves turns and control. The innovative recessed deck is a design feature Starboard introduced in 1994.

ENGINEERED. FROM THE GROUND UP

Durable lightweight technology engineered from the ground up to be our lowest carbon footprint boards. Utilising high strength Sicomin epoxy resins, optimally positioned and carefully aligned sheets of natural 0.6mm Australian pine creates a full deck sandwich construction with optimum fatigue properties, excellent load, overall stability, and reduced weight.

Introduced by Starboard in 1995, Wood Technology weighed one kilo less than the best boards of that time. Today, we bring back this classic technology, leveraging the low resin absorption and natural unidirectional benefits of Australian pine, improved impact resistance, and lower weight of laminates. Crisp and responsive on the water, yet supple, comfortable, and durable.

OPTIMISED FLEX

We've added extra light unidirectional carbon stringers along the Kode rails to further stiffen the board between the back foot and the mast track, and Innegra Carbon rails around the iSonics and Futuras for added stiffness and impact resistance.
