Duotone Blitz D/LAB 2026

With the EAGLE and the brand-new BLITZ, Duotone offers two new boards for the freeride >< freerace segment that cover everything from learning to plane to being the fastest surfer at your spot. The EAGLE and the BLITZ D/LAB CUSTOMIZED are the stiffest, lightest, and most planing boards in their class. In fact, they are over a kilo lighter than other comparable boards.

1) EAGLE: IT'S ALL ABOUT PLANING

• Where you're coming from: You've had your first windsurfing experiences and can maintain height. There is no other board with which you can experience the feeling of planing in such a short time as with the EAGLE. 
• Where it will take you: Besides planing, jibing is the second strength of the EAGLE. But it's not just for learning (power) jibes, it will even accompany you up to freerace blasting and laydown jibes.

2) BLITZ: MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE WITH MINIMAL EFFORT

• Where you're coming from: If you already feel comfortable in the foot straps, then the BLITZ is your performance board! 
• Where it will take you: The BLITZ will instantly make you a faster windsurfer. With playful handling on the rails, it will be your partner from your first power jibes to laydown race jibes. In combination with a high-performance fin and a freerace sail, you could even become the fastest rider at your spot with the BLITZ, without having to sacrifice the comfort of a freeride board.

When developing the BLITZ, the main goal was to create a board with maximum performance and minimal effort, which remains controllable across the widest possible wind range.

First of all, the BLITZ follows the same VOLUME YET CONTROL CONCEPT as the EAGLE. This means you can easily choose a board 10 liters larger than other brands without losing control in overpowered conditions. The additional volume makes the board feel more stable underfoot in non-planing conditions and also planes earlier than boards with less volume, without compromising high-end performance and control. 

Furthermore, the BLITZ can be aggressively jibed in experienced hands, but due to its wide tail, it also feels light and smooth for advanced riders. This allows you to progress through all jibe levels without ever "outgrowing" the board. 

Key Features 

• The racier/boxier rails and a wider strap position allow the rider to push harder, so the board flies over the fin and achieves a higher top speed.
• The 2 STEP CUTOUTS further reduce drag at full speed and give you an advantage over your friends.
• The RECESSED MAST TRACK AREA lowers the rig connection and improves control and aerodynamics for an ideal "Close The Gap."

Maximum control and predictable behavior over a maximum wind range also make the BLITZ the ideal companion for long-distance excursions and races with maximum control.

The incredibly wide range of use can be further expanded by changing the fin, which noticeably affects the board's characteristics:

• The F_RIDE fin supplied with the board makes the BLITZ very comfortable to ride and forgives mistakes when jibing.
• As an aftermarket fin, the BLITZ can be combined with our RACE D/LAB fin, developed by Dani Aeberli and tested by Jordy Vonk. With this fin, the BLITZ becomes a freerace machine that is hard to beat.
