The Blade offers the stability of a 5-batten sail without the usual compromises in weight. Thanks to the forward-oriented profile and reduced backhand pressure, slight wind fluctuations go unnoticed. The sail does the work, you focus on sailing.
The 026 Blade has been completely redeveloped from the ground up to increase power and integrate the latest development concepts:
XR Xtended Range: Designed to extend the wind range both at the bottom and top ends. Deeper, more powerful profiles are fixed by additional skin tension to improve control and stability.
Fat Head: Originally developed for the S-1, the enlarged head area opens up further under load, improving top-end control and wind range. Smaller sizes have relatively thicker heads, while larger sizes balance the head size for better aerodynamics.
DirectConnect: A system for directly connecting the sail's load points to any hardware – masts, battens, and boom. No delay means the sail responds instantly to rider input.
CarbonFusion Trickle-Down: BladePro construction flows into the Blade, with welded foot panels and carbon load transfer strips in the head and tack.
Gradient Panel Technology: Overlapping corners logically reduce weight, increase strength, and control stretch.
The 026 Blade sets new standards by combining these design concepts with industry-leading materials such as VX2, SpiderFibre, eM4, and the new D6 Dacron in the luff.
