New School Freestyle Board

The basis of the development was therefore a powerful new school freestyle board that automatically leads to maximum acceleration and control.

This shape was then tuned to also function as a waveboard in logo-high side-on waves. For the ULTRA FreeWave to work in side-on wave conditions, it had to be crisp, direct, and work with a tri-fin setup.

So what are the most important ingredients for a great Bump&Jump Freemove board? For us, it's all about explosive acceleration, control, and maneuverability.

But what is truly new and unique for such a board is the crisp, direct feel. Instead of being boring, the ULTRA FreeWave offers an exciting, sporty ride without losing control or wind range. That's why the FreeWave has been given the addition ULTRA. The ULTRA FreeWave is not only very lively for new maneuvers, but is also super exciting when cruising straight ahead, and therefore puts a smile on your face throughout the entire session.

Our second priority was to develop the first maneuver convertible that works in both single and tri-fin setups and dramatically changes its character:

>> With the tri-fin setup, it offers 70% of the GRIP 3 wave potential (top/bottom turns)

>> With a single-fin setup, it now feels much more exciting than its predecessor

>> Combined with a purebred freestyle fin, the ULTRA FreeWave offers 70% of the hardcore freestyle potential of the SKATE

But we didn't stop there. Instead of the industry-standard semi-custom technology, the ULTRA FreeWave is now built using FULL CUSTOM technology, as used in high-end custom boards. This makes both versions approx. 200g lighter than the previous models, yet significantly more stable.

As you can see, the legendary FreeWave has been improved in every respect and is now deservedly called ULTRA FreeWave.

The ULTRA FreeWave is available in 6 sizes from 74, 84, 94, 104, 112, and 119 liters for heavier riders and lighter winds.
