Description

The UHA (Ultra High Aspect) was developed to close the gap between pure efficiency and intuitive handling. Every detail of its refined outline and profile cross-section is tuned for maximum glide and minimum drag, allowing you to build speed with less effort. Despite its high aspect design, the UHA still rolls smoothly and precisely into turns, allowing the profile to follow instinctively as you open your shoulders and look to the next line. It is ideal for advanced to experienced riders looking for efficient glide and easy connection in light to moderate conditions. From parawing to downwind to lightwind winging.

FAQ

FAQ

What makes the Armstrong UHA (Ultra High Aspect) Front Foil stand out?

The UHA combines a high aspect ratio with the typical intuitive Armstrong turning feel. With its aspect ratio of 12.6, it delivers highly efficient gliding, a low stall speed, and harmonious, snug turning behavior – ideal for advanced to experienced riders.

What conditions is the UHA Front Foil designed for?

Armstrong clearly positions the UHA for downwind, parawing, and light-wind wingsurfing. It was developed to turn light to moderate conditions into a flowing, connected ride – from connecting waves to long glides in light wind.

What sizes are available for the UHA Front Foil?

The UHA series is available in seven sizes: UHA 570, 670, 770, 870, 970, 1070, and 1270. This way, you can find the right surface area for different rider weights, wind ranges, and riding styles – from lively to maximum glide performance.

How is the UHA constructed and what material is it made of?

The front wing is made of premium pre-preg Toray high-modulus carbon. This ensures high stiffness, low weight, and robust durability – even under the torsional and bending forces that occur in foiling.

Which foil system is the UHA compatible with?

The UHA uses Armstrong's A+ system – the proprietary connection solution between the mast, fuselage, front foil, and stabilizer. According to the manufacturer, the Alloy 72 mast with standard fuselage is also structurally suitable for the larger spans such as the UHA 1270; performance carbon masts, however, bring out even more finesse.

What is included in the delivery of the UHA Front Foil?

The delivery includes a protective cover, two M6 28.5 mm countersunk screws made of 316 stainless steel with a rainbow titanium coating, two M6 19.5 mm countersunk screws made of 316 stainless steel with a gold titanium coating, as well as an M6 8 mm titanium barrel nut – so everything you need for mounting on the A+ system.

What rider level is the UHA suitable for?

Armstrong recommends the UHA for advanced to experienced foilers looking for efficient gliding and easy, intuitive handling in light to moderate conditions. Beginners benefit more from profiles that are easier to dose.

How do I properly care for and transport the UHA Front Foil?

Use the included protective cover to protect the wing from UV radiation, salt, and scratches. Rinse the components with fresh water after saltwater sessions and regularly check the screws of the A+ connection to ensure they are securely tightened – this keeps your setup stiff and reliable for a long time.
