The boom is available in three lengths: 140–200 cm (wave), 160–220 cm (slalom), and 180–240 cm (freeride). The functional end piece also offers 2 cm of adjustment range, allowing you to optimally adapt the length to your sail.

Does the boom fit RDM and SDM masts?

Yes, the Ascan Monocoque Boom fits both RDM and SDM masts. An additional skinny adapter is not necessary, yet the boom remains rock-solid.

How heavy is the Ascan Monocoque Boom?

The 140 cm version weighs approx. 2.5 kg. This makes the boom light enough for comfortable handling and maneuvers while remaining robust enough for demanding wave conditions.

What material is the boom made of?

The Monocoque Boom is made of high-quality T8 aluminum. The continuous aluminum arc with an axially movable head piece ensures even force distribution and direct handling.

What is the tube diameter of the boom?

The tubes have a diameter of 29 mm, while the grippy coating measures 31.5 mm. This ensures a secure grip at all times, even with wet hands and during hard maneuvers.

How is the length adjusted?

The Ascan Monocoque Boom uses the proven Pinlock adjustment system. Using the Pinlock pins, you can quickly and tool-free adjust the boom length to suit your sail and body size.
