Ascan Neoprene Hood Titan

FAQ

What is the Ascan Hood Titan neoprene hood designed for?

The Ascan Hood Titan is a warm 3 mm neoprene hood with a titanium coating and is suitable for cold days on the water when kitesurfing, wing foiling, windsurfing, surfing, sailing, or diving.

What are the properties of the hood's neoprene?

The hood is made entirely of smoothskin neoprene with a titanium coating. The coating retains body heat around the head and significantly reduces the wind chill effect.

How flexible and comfortable is the hood during sports?

The elastic material and pre-shaped cut ensure good freedom of movement. Your head can turn freely while surfing without causing a tight feeling in the neck.

What sizes is the Ascan Hood Titan available in?

The hood is available in sizes S, M, L, and XL. This way, you can find the right size for different head circumferences.

What water temperatures is the hood suitable for?

With its 3 mm thickness and titanium coating, the hood is designed for cool to cold water and is the right choice when your head and ears need to stay warm at low temperatures.

How do I properly care for the neoprene hood?

Rinse the hood with clean fresh water after every session and let it dry in a well-ventilated area, but not in direct sunlight. This will preserve the elasticity and titanium coating for a long time.

Does the Hood Titan fit under a wetsuit?

The hood is cut to fit tightly around the head and can be pulled under the collar of a wetsuit, preventing water from entering around the neck.

Who manufactures the Ascan Hood Titan?

The manufacturer is Ascan, a brand of Canel Handelsgesellschaft mbH, based in Hamburg.
