Ascan Neorepset Seam Tape

FAQ

What is the Ascan Neorepset seam tape designed for?

The Ascan Neorepset seam tape is a DIY repair kit that allows you to permanently seal small damage to neoprene surfaces. It is suitable for quick repairs on wetsuits, neoprene shoes, and similar watersports clothing.

What is included in the set?

The set includes M2 neoprene adhesive (25 ml, black) and the matching Neorepset seam tape, allowing you to repair the adhesive area and tear in a single step.

How is the seam tape applied?

The seam tape is applied to the affected area using the included M2 neoprene adhesive and then fixed with heat (e.g., an iron). This permanently bonds the tape to the neoprene material.

Can I also use it to patch seams on a wetsuit?

Yes, the set was specially developed for repairing seams and small tears in neoprene. It works on smooth neoprene surfaces as well as on typical seam areas.

Can the Ascan Neorepset also be used for other water sports?

The repair kit is universally applicable to neoprene products and is therefore suitable for neoprene used in windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing, SUP, and wing foiling, provided it is made of classic neoprene.

How long does a repair with the set take?

The actual gluing takes just a few minutes. The repaired area should then be allowed to dry and cool sufficiently according to the adhesive instructions before the neoprene item is used in the water again.
