Description
The AXIS Progressive 250/56, 275/58 and 300/61 rear wings are performance wings for advanced riders. They are excellent for foiling in tow, prone/SUP foiling and wing foiling, ideal in combination with high-performance front wings such as HPS, ART and PNG wings.
The main features of these new, smaller Progressive rears are higher speeds due to reduced drag, while still maintaining control and allowing for maximum performance in extreme conditions.
Our team riders rave about how well balanced and confidence-inspiring the new small Progressive wings are. The speed, control, agility and grip are incredible for their size. However, there is a slight downside to pumping performance as the size decreases.
So how do you use these new sizes?
James Casey prefers the 275/58 for prone riding in most conditions, while he prefers the 300/61 for downwinding.
The 300/61 Progressive is excellent to turn, but also has the added benefit of being easier to pump and more predictable. If you are dealing with a fast medium-sized wave, the 250/56 is the right choice.
Our wing foiling team is excited about these small Progressives in combination with the largest ART wings, as they improve the agility of the larger wings and significantly increase speed.
These new Progressives look tiny, but the higher speeds you achieve with them mean greater stabilizing forces without compromising maneuverability.
