Imagine a surf foil wing that lets you foil waves like a surfer. If you're like us, you dream of a wing that turns effortlessly, inspires confidence when diving into the wave, and provides a smooth, predictable, easy lift onto the foil. A foil that not only handles breaks but even enhances them. No wave is like another: sometimes you need a burst of speed, other times you have to throttle back while staying on the face. A wing you can simply forget about and just enjoy. Of course, this wing must also be able to pump you back out so you can do it all over again. The wait is over—here is the AXIS Spitfire.
You'll recognize it by its distinctive elliptical shape, straight centerline, and lack of aggressive sweepback at the wingtips. Moderate chord lengths that taper gently from the center to the tips promote smooth, predictable, and precise turning. The reduced foil thickness provides improved top-end performance and complements the larger chord lengths, which ensure easy low-end handling.
Many of these features are also found in the ARTPRO series, and much of what we learned while developing that series has been incorporated into the design of the Spitfire.
During the development process, we thoroughly tested the Spitfire. The smaller sizes are fast and turn explosively. The larger sizes are ideal for smaller spots and bigger riders. The Spitfires are versatile front wings capable of riding waves or flat water in the disciplines of prone, SUP, winging, wake, downwind, lake pumping, and kite foiling. They can handle it all.
Spitfire foils pair perfectly with our Black Advance hulls and Progressive or Skinny rear wings.
