FAQ
FAQ
FAQ
Who is the Core Section 5 designed for?
The Section 5 is a pure wave and foil kite for kitesurfers who want to ride their best lines in the waves. Co-developed by team rider and GKA World Champion Gabriel Benetton, it covers all surf disciplines – from small waves to large overhead breakers, including strapless freestyle and foiling.
What sizes are available for the Section 5?
The Section 5 is available in seven sizes: 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0 and 12.0 square meters. This means you will find the right size for almost any wind strength and rider weight.
What wind range does the Section 5 fly in?
The smallest 5.0 size flies from around 6 Beaufort (22 to 42 knots), while the largest 12.0 covers light winds from around 3.5 to 6 Beaufort (10 to 24 knots). In between, the sizes overlap perfectly, so you can cover a wide wind range with two kites.
What materials and technologies are used in the Section 5?
CORE uses the specially developed CoreTex® 2 Triple Ripstop canopy in the Section 5, stiff ExoTex® 2 Dacron for the leading edge and lightweight ExoTex® Light struts. This keeps the 3-strut frame light, responsive and extremely shape-retaining – even under heavy loads.
Which bar is compatible with the Section 5?
The Section 5 is optimized for the Sensor Bar System and is fully compatible with all Sensor 2, Sensor 3 and Sensor 4 bars, including the Pro and S variants. For maximum performance, CORE recommends the new Sensor 4 or Sensor 4 Pro.
How does the kite relaunch after a crash?
The Instant Relaunch System ensures that the Section 5 reliably gets back into the air with a short pull on a relaunch line. The wider wingtips also support the reverse relaunch, so you can get back up quickly even after uncontrolled water landings.
What is included in the delivery?
The Section 5 is delivered with a comfortable kite backpack, a manual, line extensions and a repair kit. A bar is not included – it is available separately as a matching Sensor Bar.
How long will spare parts for the Section 5 be available?
CORE guarantees worldwide spare part availability for at least six years. This ensures you are protected for the long term, should a bladder, strut or patch need to be replaced after many sessions.
