Description
The spreader bar is easy to attach and can be replaced very quickly if needed. The Hook Spreaderbar is an extremely stable, welded stainless steel construction with a classic fixed hook. The Rope Spreaderbar has the same robust stainless steel frame, but instead of a hook, it has two flexible attachment points made of Dyneema. Ideal for foiling or wave kiting, but also excellent for everything else – except unhooking.

Both spreaderbars share the same robust, welded stainless steel frame. The Hook version has a classic fixed hook, while the Rope version features two flexible Dyneema attachment points. The Hook is the safe choice for hooked-in riding, while the Rope is ideal for rotations and quick maneuvers.
Does the Spreaderbar fit every Core Link harness?
The Link Spreaderbar Hook is designed as an original accessory and is perfectly matched to the Core Link kite waist harness. The slide-in braces connect it securely to the harness body, and it can be replaced very quickly if needed.
What sizes are available, and how do I find the right one?
The Spreaderbar is available in several sizes (S, M, L). Core recommends a size based on your waist circumference, taking into account your build, personal preferences, and the harness size you have chosen. If in doubt, the staff at Surfshop Fehmarn will be happy to help.
Is the Spreaderbar also suitable for foiling and wave riding?
Yes, the sturdy stainless steel frame also performs reliably when foiling and wave riding. However, if you do a lot of rotations and ducking, the Rope Spreaderbar with its flexible Dyneema attachments is the more comfortable alternative.
What is included?
Only the Hook Spreaderbar in the size you have chosen is included. The harness itself and the safety leash are not included.
How do I properly care for the Spreaderbar?
After sessions in salt water, rinse the Spreaderbar with fresh water and let it air dry. Regularly check that the hook closure and safety snaps function correctly to prevent the closure from opening unintentionally.
