DTW-XT Spare Bottom Insert PxT 2.0 (SS22)

FAQ

What is the DTW-XT Spare Bottom Insert PT 2.0 RDM designed for?

The Spare Bottom Insert is the lower mounting point on the mast base and ensures that the boom sits securely and without play on the RDM mast. It is an original Duotone spare part suitable for the DTW-XT mast base.

Does this insert also fit SDM masts?

As indicated by the designation, this insert is specifically designed for RDM masts (Reduced Diameter Mast). For masts with a standard diameter (SDM), Duotone offers the corresponding SDM insert as an alternative.

What is included with the insert?

The delivery includes the insert itself as well as the required mounting hardware, so that the replacement can be carried out directly on the mast base.

For whom is replacing the bottom insert worthwhile?

If the mast base no longer stays securely fixed to the mast, shows play, or the old insert is damaged, replacement makes sense. This restores a stable connection between the boom and the mast.

Is the insert an original Duotone spare part?

Yes, it is an original spare part from Duotone, suitable for the DTW-XT mast base from the SS22 season.

Can I install the insert myself?

The replacement can be carried out in a few steps with standard tools and a little skill. Loosen the screws, remove the old insert, insert the new insert, and screw it in securely.

Is the insert compatible with all Duotone mast bases?

It has been designed to fit the DTW-XT mast base perfectly. For older or other Duotone mast base models, compatibility should be checked before purchase.
