Description

The shape is based on the famous BLAST, topped with the planing power of the large EAGLE boards.

Combined with the same high-end FULL CUSTOM D/LAB construction used for the FALCON_FIN, the BLAST D/LAB is the stiffest, lightest, and fastest planing board in its class. The bottom line is that the BLAST D/LAB is over a kilo lighter than any other comparable board. The secret to the unrivaled weight-to-stiffness ratio lies in our FULL CUSTOM D/LAB construction. This construction follows the same process as high-end custom-made boards. Aside from the CNC-milled foam core, every board is 100% handmade.
But that's not all. Thanks to the VOLUME YET CONTROL CONCEPT, you can choose a board 20-30 liters larger than other boards for more comfort, without sacrificing control in overpowered conditions. In fact, the BLAST D/LAB remains well-controlled even in 30 knots of wind, resulting in an unbeatably wide range of use.
The extra volume makes the board feel more stable in light winds and also planes faster than boards with less volume, without losing high-end performance and control. Thanks to the thin rails, the BLAST can be aggressively jibed in experienced hands, but also feels light and smooth for advanced riders thanks to its wide tail. This allows you to make steady progress at all stages of the jibe process, without the board ever becoming "outgrown" or too large for your increased riding skill.
Finally, the racier, boxier rails and wider strap positions allow the rider to push harder to make the board fly over the fin, thus increasing top speed. The tail cutouts reduce drag at full speed and give you an advantage over your friends.
If you're looking for a board that is truly unique and superior in all aspects, from performance to construction, then the BLAST D/LAB is the ultimate choice for you!

Your advantages with the BLAST D/LAB 2025:

FAQ

FAQ

Who is the Duotone Blast D/LAB suitable for?

The Blast D/LAB is aimed at advanced windsurfers looking for a high-performance freerace and freeride board who value maximum range from light to strong winds.

What does the D/LAB construction mean for the Blast?

D/LAB stands for the fully custom high-end construction with a CNC-milled foam core and 100% handcrafted finish. The result is the stiffest and lightest board in its class.

How does the Blast D/LAB differ from the standard Blast?

The Blast D/LAB combines the proven Blast shape with the aggressive rail bite of the Eagle models. Thanks to the D/LAB construction, it is over a kilogram lighter than comparable boards and offers more stiffness.

Which size should I choose for the Blast D/LAB?

Thanks to the Volume Yet Control Concept, you can choose a board with 20 to 30 liters more volume than with other boards without losing control in high winds. The board starts planing earlier and remains well manageable at over 30 knots.

For which wind conditions is the Blast D/LAB designed?

The Blast D/LAB covers a very wide range and is suitable for both light wind and strong wind up to about 30 knots. This makes it a true all-round freerace board.

Does the Blast D/LAB grow with my skill level?

Yes, the board grows with your riding skills. The additional volume gives beginners confidence in the harness section, while advanced riders can use the thin rails and the outer footstrap positions to aggressively jibe and reach high speeds.

Which fins does Duotone recommend for the Blast D/LAB?

The Blast D/LAB is designed for high-performance slalom and freerace fins that allow the board to fly over the fin, ensuring maximum top speed.

How do I properly care for my Duotone Blast D/LAB?

Rinse the board with fresh water after every session, avoid direct sunlight when storing it, and regularly check the footstraps and the fin. This will keep the D/LAB construction performing optimally in the long term.
