Description
The EAGLE was developed with the following goals in mind:
> Early passive planing
> Intuitive jibing
> Maximum wind range and control even in choppy conditions
This makes the EAGLE the perfect board for intermediates to advanced riders, accompanying you from your first planing attempts to blasting and laydown jibes.
To achieve these characteristics, the team around Daniel Aeberli (Product Manager Boards) developed the VOLUME YET CONTROL CONCEPT:
- The slightly longer and thus less rounded outline allows us to increase the volume by up to 30 liters compared to rounder boards (e.g., Fanatic Gecko or Tabou Rocket), without losing control.
- However, the additional volume leads to a much safer, more predictable, and more relaxed riding position, especially with low power or sessions before the planing range.
>> This results in an unbeatably wide range of use
The slightly longer and thus less rounded outline also offers 2 important advantages:
1) It prevents the board from unnecessarily turning into the wind, causing the Eagle to almost automatically start planing
2) It prevents the board from bucking even in rough chop, which becomes a problem with rounder boards
The maneuver-oriented rail shape allows for effortless and predictable jibing, as the thin rails require less pressure to initiate the turn. This is ideal for jibe novices or to increase the success rate of lay-down jibes.
However, even for advanced riders, the EAGLE is anything but a boring board. It feels almost like a longer version of the BLAST, as it has a very similar scoop rocker line.

FAQ
FAQ
Who is the Duotone Eagle 2024 suitable for?
The Eagle is aimed at intermediate and advanced windsurfers who want to be accompanied from their first glide to planing and laydown jibe.
What technology is used in the Eagle?
The Eagle is made in a durable epoxy sandwich construction with an EPS core and 70% wood sandwich. The Eagle SLS variant uses the even lighter Premium Sandwich Technology with a higher carbon content.
What size sail should be used with the Eagle?
As the ideal windsurfing range, Duotone recommends sail sizes between 6.5 and 8.0 square meters for the Eagle, depending on board size and rider weight.
What volumes and sizes are available for the Eagle?
The Eagle is available in several sizes from 120 to 188 liters of volume and lengths of 245 to 260 cm, so that there is a suitable board for almost every rider weight.
What distinguishes the Eagle from the Duotone Blast?
The Eagle was specially developed for early passive planing, intuitive jibing and maximum control in choppy conditions, while the Blast is designed for maximum performance and speed in the footstraps.
How does the fin mounting work on the Eagle?
The Eagle features a tool-free fin mounting system, with which you can mount the fins quickly and conveniently without tools.
For what conditions is the Eagle designed?
Thanks to the Volume Yet Control Concept with a longer, straighter outline, the Eagle glides early, does not rock in choppy water and offers a very wide wind range.
Which fins and footstraps are included?
The Eagle comes with F-Ride Power fins and four Premium Strap 2.0 footstraps with multi-plugs, which allow for individual adjustment to a relaxed or performance-oriented riding style.
