Duotone Mast Aero AL QM

FAQ

For which foil disciplines is the Duotone Aero AL QM mast suitable?

The Aero AL QM is designed as a foil mast for wing foiling, windsurfing, kiting, and SUP foiling, and is compatible with all common foil setups that use the Duotone Quickmount base.

What does Quickmount (QM) mean on this mast?

Quickmount allows for tool-free mounting on the board: a special screw secures the mast by hand, without the need for any tools. This keeps the position set for the next session even after you finish.

In what sizes is the Duotone Aero AL QM available?

The mast is available in several lengths, so you can choose the right size depending on the intended use and rider weight.

What material is the Duotone Aero AL QM made of?

The mast is made of aluminum (AL) and combines durability with a good weight-to-stiffness ratio for all-round use.

Is the Aero AL QM compatible with other Duotone foils?

Yes, the mast is part of the Duotone foil system and can be combined with the corresponding Duotone footpads and wings, provided they use the Quickmount mount.

How do I properly care for the aluminum mast?

Rinse the mast with fresh water after every session, let it dry, and regularly check the screws and Quickmount mount for tightness and wear.

What should I consider when transporting the mast?

A suitable mast bag protects the mast and Quickmount plate from scratches and impacts during car or air transport.

Who would benefit from the Aero AL QM over a carbon mast?

If you are looking for a robust, affordable, and durable setup and do not need to save every last gram of weight, the Aero AL QM is the right choice. Carbon masts have the advantage of maximum stiffness and minimum weight.
