Description

Don't expect Parawing to be as easy as Wing Foiling! Balancing on your board is more challenging without a stable, inflated wing in your hand, so we recommend using a larger board, especially for your first attempts.

Pumping onto the foil requires more leg work. We recommend using a larger glide foil, like those used in SUP downwind foiling. A big advantage over SUP downwind foiling is that you can get on the foil with a significantly shorter board, like the Skybrid. If you already have a downwinder board, that will also work great, especially for your first rides. To make your first sessions more successful, Duotone has put together some recommendations, depending on your weight and foiling level.

Downwind Foiler

60-70kg: 55-70l, Skybrid / 90-95l Downwinder + Glide 750-900

70-80kg: 70l Skybrid / 90-100l Downwinder + Glide 900

80-90kg: 85l Skybrid / 90-105l Downwinder Glide 1100

90-100kg: 100l Skybrid / Glide 1100

100+ kg: 100-115l Skybrid / Glide 1350

  • Lightweight Materials: Ultralight and easy-to-pack 30g paragliding ripstop fabric, as well as light and aerodynamic 1mm lines and bridles - lifts even in the lightest breeze.
  • Efficient Design: Double surface tips with fast drainage prevent collapse.

FAQ

FAQ

What is a parawing and how does it differ from wing foiling?

Similar to paragliding, a parawing is towed behind the rider instead of being held in the hand like a classic wing. This leaves the hands free, but maintaining balance on the board becomes more challenging and requires greater core strength.

Who is the Duotone Stash parawing suitable for?

The Stash parawing is designed for ambitious riders who already have some experience with foiling or SUP downwind foiling. A larger board and a wide glide foil make getting started much easier.

Which board and foil does Duotone recommend for beginners?

For your first sessions, Duotone recommends a larger board (e.g. a Skybrid with 70–115 l or a 90–105 l Downwinder) combined with a wide glide foil (approx. 750–1350, depending on body weight). For exact specifications, see the manufacturer's weight chart.

What materials and features does the Stash parawing have?

The Stash uses an ultralight 30 g paragliding ripstop fabric with aerodynamic 1 mm lines and bridles. Double-layered surface tips with quick drainage prevent the wing from collapsing and ensure stable flight characteristics.

How many sizes and colours are available?

The Duotone Stash parawing is available in several sizes from 2.0 to 6.0 as well as in different colours (including pink and white), so you can find the right setup for your weight and wind conditions.

Does the parawing come with lines and a bar?

The Stash is supplied with the aerodynamic lines and bridles pre-installed. For details on the exact contents of the package, see the manufacturer's description for the respective model.

How should the Duotone Stash parawing be cared for and stored?

After each session, let the Stash dry before loosely packing it into the included Stash bag. Avoid direct sunlight and prolonged exposure to moisture to keep the ripstop fabric and lines supple for longer.

Can I also use the Stash parawing to learn wing foiling?

The Stash is deliberately not a classic learning wing, but rather an advanced setup. For your first steps in wing foiling, we recommend a conventional inflatable wing, followed by switching to the parawing once you have mastered foil control and balance.
