What is the Duotone Uphaul Line Select designed for?

The Uphaul Line Select is the uphaul line (start sheet) for your windsurf rig. It allows you to pull the sail out of the water after a water start without grabbing the mast.

In what lengths is the Uphaul Line Select available?

Duotone offers the Uphaul Line Select in two lengths: size S for sails up to approximately 6.5 m² and size L for sails from approximately 6.0 m². This allows you to adapt the line to your mast position.

How do you properly adjust the uphaul line?

The line is adjustable on both sides. Adjust it so that it fits snugly but is not stretched out. This ensures it sits without creases and gives you the ideal leverage when hauling up.

What material is the Uphaul Line Select made of?

The stretch material retains its shape even after many sessions and lies significantly flatter against the mast than conventional pleated tubes. At the top end, a Dyneema cord protects against wear.

Can the bungee loop at the bottom be replaced?

Yes, the bungee loop at the bottom of the Uphaul Line Select can easily be replaced if worn, without having to discard the entire line.

For what purpose is the Uphaul Line Select suitable?

The line is compatible with all common windsurf rigs and is equally suitable for classic windsurfing on the open sea, in flat water, and in the waves, as long as you start with the mast and sail.

How do I identify the right size for my sail?

Choose the size according to the mast height of your sail: small rigs with a low mast are best suited to size S, while larger sails and higher masts are best suited to size L. If in doubt, take a look at the information on the blue label on the middle section.

How do I properly care for the Uphaul Line Select?

After use in salt water, rinse the line with clean fresh water and let it dry in the shade. This keeps the stretch material and the Dyneema section permanently supple and ready for use.
