Who is the Starboard GO Windsurfer 2024 suitable for?

The Starboard GO Windsurfer 2024 is the ideal board for beginners and intermediate riders. Thanks to the integrated, fully retractable daggerboard and the long mast track, it glides confidently both below and above the planing threshold – perfect for families with different riders or for anyone who wants to go from beginner to hero.

Which size is right for my weight?

The GO Windsurfer 2024 is available in three volumes: 165 L, 175 L and 185 L. The 165 model is ideal for smaller riders and slimmer beginners, while the 175 L and 185 L are the best-selling sizes for first-time buyers and offer plenty of buoyancy for first planing attempts.

How does the daggerboard work on the GO Windsurfer?

The daggerboard is 57 cm long, fully retractable and can be inserted without tools using the Clipperbox system. Simply position the fin at 45 degrees and pull it upwards to lock it into place – this allows you to switch between learning and planing mode in seconds.

Which sail size is right for the board?

Depending on the board size, Starboard recommends the following sail ranges: 4.0–9.0 m² for the 165 L, 4.5–9.5 m² for the 175 L and 5.0–10.0 m² for the 185 L. This means the board covers a wide wind range from light to stronger winds.

What does the Starlite construction mean?

The Starlite construction uses a 15.5 g/cm³ EPS core, Australian pine wood stringers and biaxial 45-degree continuous fiberglass instead of chopped short fibers. The result: a stiff, lightweight and durable board with good reflex behavior – robust and affordably priced.

What are the dimensions and weight of the board?

The 165 and 175 models measure 258 cm in length and 78 cm or 84 cm in width respectively, while the 185 model is 265 cm long and 87 cm wide. The weights are approx. 12.7 kg (165 L), 13.2 kg (175 L) and 13.8 kg (185 L), each with a tolerance of ±5%.

How much does the Starboard GO Windsurfer 2024 cost?

The RRP is EUR 2,099.00 (Starlite construction). The delivery includes the board, foot straps and the matching fin (Drake Freeride Power 44 or 48 + Daggerboard 57).

Is the GO Windsurfer board easy to transport?

Yes, all three sizes feature a nose carry handle and a central carry handle for carrying under the arm. This makes it easy to carry the board to the beach or onto the roof of the car – also ideal for families with children.
