Description

Balanced power wave sail. A blend of light feel, power, control, and range with a little more power when you need it. A new profile combined with a more uniform twist from bottom to top creates a more efficient and lighter sail feel, providing more range and control, especially in down-the-line conditions.
Handling characteristics: The lift is slightly higher and further back compared to the Banzai Surf Pro and Banzai Max Pro, which promotes a more upright riding feel, but also a hint of pressure on the back hand for more throttle when you need it. A direct yet flexible feel maintains connection at all times during maneuvers.

Lift: Up and slightly further back

Maneuverability: All-around jumping and wave riding

Feel: Direct

Available in 3.2, 3.5, 3.7, 4.0, 4.2, 4.5, 4.7, 5.0, 5.3, 5.5, 5.7, 6.0, 6.3 square meters.

  • IWT and PWA World Cup approved.
  • Pro construction, Bi-Ply window, Scrim Panels.

Pro Construction:

Main window pane: 6 mil Bi-PLY from Dimension Polyant consists of two 3 mil layers of PET film. This creates a softer feel, improved flexibility, and reduced creasing. The UV inhibitors in the adhesive increase the product's lifespan compared to traditional monofilm.

Upper window areas: High quality 4 mil Monofilm from Dimension Polyant.
Upper body color panels: 2.5 mil Scrim from Dimension- Polyant is a polyester scrim plus X-PLY ®, designed for lighter weight while still offering the stretch of a traditional X-PLY ® product.

Foot/Adhesive area: 4 mil Aramid Scrim has an improved lay-up with larger denier fibers, but still with the
high-strength Aramid X-PLY ®. It has much greater tear and puncture resistance in the highest stress areas of pure wave riding. Carbon Stretch Control Tapes are made from pre-tensioned carbon fiber bundles pre-tensioned carbon fibers to ensure low stretch and no crimping. An improved PSA adhesive provides aggressive tackiness. The use of these tapes allows for lighter and more efficient patching and sail reinforcement. Double stitching around the main window. Dacron Leech edge reinforcement. Folded trailing edge at the mast sleeve to prevent fraying.

FAQ

FAQ

Who is the Goya Banzai 11 Pro suitable for?

The Goya Banzai 11 Pro is aimed at advanced wavesurfers looking for a balanced power wave sail with direct handling. It is IWT and PWA World Cup approved and therefore also suitable for ambitious competitive use.

What sail sizes are available?

The Banzai 11 Pro is available in many sizes from 3.2 to 6.3 square meters. This means you will find the right size for different wind strengths and rider weights.

What construction and materials are used?

The sail features a Pro construction with a Bi-Ply window and Scrim panels. The main window consists of 6 mil Bi-Ply from Dimension Polyant, the upper window areas are made of 4 mil Monofilm and the upper color panels are made of 2.5 mil Scrim. 4 mil Aramid Scrim with high-strength Aramid X-PLY is used in the foot and glue area, complemented by Carbon Stretch Control Tapes.

How does the sail feel when surfing?

The Banzai 11 Pro provides a direct but flexible feel with a little more power when needed. The lift is slightly higher and further back, which promotes an upright riding feel while allowing pressure on the back hand for more power.

Is the sail suitable for jumping and wave riding?

Yes, the maneuverability is designed for all-round jumping and wave riding. The more even twist from bottom to top provides more range and control, especially in down-the-line conditions.

How do you properly care for and store the sail?

Rinse the sail with fresh water after contact with salt water and let it dry thoroughly before storing. Roll it up loosely and store it dry and protected from direct sunlight to preserve the UV inhibitors in the glue and the materials in the long term.

Is the Goya Banzai 11 Pro approved for competitions?

Yes, the sail is both IWT and PWA World Cup approved and can therefore be used in professional competitions.

What advantages does the Pro construction offer compared to Standard?

The Pro construction offers a softer grip, improved flexibility and reduced wrinkling due to the double-layer Bi-Ply main window. Carbon Stretch Control Tapes also ensure low stretch and a longer lifespan.
