Description
Five battens, maximum range, high-end control wave sail. The new Banzai Max Pro is our 5-batten wave sail with extra control and higher top-end speeds.
Handling characteristics: The lift is slightly higher and more centered than the Banzai 11 Pro and Banzai Surf Pro. This provides a lot of drive and power in the lower range but also good control in the upper range. Available in 3.7, 4.0, 4.2, 4.5, 4.7, 5.0, 5.3, 5.5, 5.7, 6.0, 6.3 square meters.
Lift: Upright and centered
Maneuverability: All-round jumping and wave riding
Feel: Stable and controlled
- IWT and PWA World Cup approved.
- Pro construction, Bi-Ply window, Scrim Panels.
- Available in Fluo Yellow with Fluo Orange logos.
Pro construction:
Main window pane: 6 mil Bi-PLY from Dimension Polyant consists of two 3 mil layers of PET film. This creates a softer feel, improved flexibility, and reduced creasing. The UV inhibitors in the adhesive increase the product's lifespan compared to conventional monofilm.
Upper window areas: High-quality 4 mil Monofilm from Dimension Polyant.
Upper colored body panels: 2.5 mil Scrim from Dimension-Polyant is a polyester scrim plus X-PLY ® designed for lighter weight while maintaining the stretch of a traditional X-PLY ® product.
Foot/Adhesive surface: 4 mil Aramid Scrim has an improved lay-up with larger denier fibers, but still with the high-strength Aramid X-PLY ®. It has much greater tear and puncture resistance at the highest loads of pure wave riding. Carbon Stretch Control Tapes are made from pre-tensioned carbon fiber bundles for low stretch and no crimping. An improved PSA adhesive ensures aggressive tack. The use of these tapes allows for lighter and more efficient patching and sail reinforcement. Double stitching around the main window. Dacron Leech edge reinforcement. Folded trailing edge at the mast sleeve to prevent fraying.

FAQ
FAQ
What is the Goya Banzai Max Pro sail designed for?

The sail is designed for all-round jumping and wave riding. It is ideal for both powerful bottom turns and aerial maneuvers and offers an upright, neutral feel in the wave.
What sizes are available for the Goya Banzai Max Pro?
The Banzai Max Pro is available in several sizes from 3.7 to 6.3 square meters. This means you can find the right sail area for different wind strengths and rider weights.
What construction and materials are used?
The sail features a Pro construction with a Bi-Ply window and scrim panels. The main window is made of 6 mil Bi-PLY by Dimension Polyant, the upper window panels from 4 mil monofilm, the top of the sail body from 2.5 mil scrim by Dimension Polyant and the foot/tack area from robust 4 mil aramid scrim.
Is the Goya Banzai Max Pro approved for competitions?
Yes, the Banzai Max Pro is IWT and PWA World Cup approved, thus meeting the requirements for professional wave events.
Which features ensure stability and control?
Warp carbon stretch control tapes, pre-tensioned carbon fiber bundles with aggressive PSA adhesive, double stitching around the main window, Dacron leech edge reinforcement and a folded trailing edge at the mast pocket ensure minimal stretch, long-lasting durability and light, direct handling.
How does the Banzai Max Pro differ from the Banzai 11 Pro and Banzai Surf Pro?
The lift on the Banzai Max Pro is slightly higher and positioned more centrally. This results in a more upright, neutral feel with more drive in the lower range, while the five battens simultaneously enable more stability and higher top speeds.
How do you properly care for your Goya Banzai Max Pro?
Rinse the sail with fresh water after use in salt water, let it dry completely before storing it and avoid prolonged direct sunlight. Store it dry and loosely to prevent creases and material fatigue.
