Description
Description
The Banzai Surf, in contrast to the Banzai, has a shorter luff and a lower boom cutout.
The Pro model has a 3-layer material, Bi Ply, in the window. This means that monofilm is laminated on the outside and a UV-stable film in the middle. This makes the material 700% more expensive than "normal" film but significantly more durable and long-lasting.
The new X-Plx from the USA is stiffer and has 2.5-3 times less stretch than the previous material. This is achieved by a slightly larger distance between the yarns and the lighter film of the laminate.
FAQ
FAQ
FAQ
Who is the Goya Banzai Surf 2 sail designed for?
The Banzai Surf 2 is the Control Wave sail in Goya's Banzai range and is aimed at wave and surf foil riders looking for a neutral, responsive sail with clean depower for tight surf turns.
What sizes is the Banzai Surf 2 available in?
The Banzai Surf 2 is available in sizes 2.8, 3.1, 3.4, 3.7, 4.0, 4.2, 4.5, 4.7, 5.0 and 5.3 square meters, covering a wide range of wind conditions.
What build versions are available for the Banzai Surf 2?
Goya offers the Banzai Surf 2 in Pro, X Pro and Pro Carbon versions, allowing you to choose between different materials and levels of protection.
How does the Banzai Surf 2 differ from the standard Banzai?
Compared to the Banzai, the Banzai Surf 2 has a shorter mast sleeve and a deeper mast sleeve cut, which keeps the sail close to the rider and provides maximum turning room.
What does the Bi-Ply construction in the Pro model stand for?
The Pro model features a three-layer Bi-Ply material in the window, with a UV-stable middle film between the outer monofilm. This makes the sail significantly more resistant and durable.
What are the benefits of the new X-Ply laminate in the X Pro version?
The new X-Ply from the USA is stiffer than conventional material and reduces stretch by 2.5 to 3 times, ensuring more direct feedback and a shape-retaining profile contour.
Is the Banzai Surf 2 competition-proven?
Yes, the Banzai Surf 2 is WWT and PWA World Cup approved and is sailed by Goya team riders at the top level in this class.
