Description
Description
Maneuver-oriented four-batten wave sail. The focus is on maximum maneuverability and control. You have the freedom to draw your own lines on the wave and surf exactly how you want. Effortless ride and lightness that allows you to surf for hours. Handling Characteristics: The Banzai Surf Pro has a slightly shorter boom compared to the Banzai 11 Pro and Banzai Max, which, combined with the lower and more centered draft, gives you a balanced neutral feel for maximum control and maneuverability. This also makes the sail feel super light in your hand and gives you full control when wave riding. The power is never too much or too little, but always there when you need it.
Carbon Construction:
Main window panel: 6 mil Bi-PLY from Dimension Polyant consists of two 3 mil layers of PET film. This creates a softer feel, improved flexibility, and reduced creasing. The UV inhibitors in the adhesive increase the lifespan of the product compared to conventional monofilm.
Upper window areas: High-quality 4 mil monofilm from Dimension Polyant.
Upper colored body panels: 1.5 mil Ultra low stretch linear Warp Carbon fiber laminate yarns, arranged to control load lines in the sail, combined with super strong Technora Aramid X-Ply. Warp Carbon provides incredible linear control of the sail profile while allowing dynamic, pre-stressed stretch and return. This makes the sails very quiet, weightless, and very durable.
Lower body color panels: 2.5 mil Scrim from Dimension-Polyant is a polyester scrim plus X-PLY ®, designed for lighter weight while retaining the stretch of a traditional X-PLY ® product.
Foot/tack area: 4 mil Aramid Scrim has an improved weave with larger denier fibers, but still with the high-strength Aramid X-PLY ®. It has much greater tear and puncture resistance under the highest loads of pure wave riding. Double stitching around the main window. Dacron leech edge reinforcement. Folded trailing edge at the mast pocket to prevent fraying.

FAQ
FAQ
Who is the Goya Banzai Surf Iris Carbon made for?
The Banzai Surf Iris Carbon is a maneuver-oriented four-batten wave sail for ambitious wave and bump-&-jump surfers who seek maximum control and a light, neutral riding feel in the surf.
What sizes are available for the Banzai Surf Iris Carbon?
The sail is manufactured in several sizes from 2.8 to 5.3 square meters within the family, so you will find the right size for almost any wind strength at the spot.
What does the carbon construction with Warp Carbon stand for?
The carbon construction combines a 6 mil Bi-Ply main window, Warp Carbon laminate yarns to control the load lines, and Technora-Aramid-X-Ply for a very quiet, light, and at the same time resistant sail.
How many battens does the Banzai Surf Iris Carbon have and what does that bring?
The sail is constructed with four CNC battens, which ensures direct, agile handling and, together with the shorter mast and the centered lift, makes it ideal for fast maneuvers on the wave.
Is the Goya Banzai Surf Iris Carbon approved for competitions?
Yes, the sail is IWT- and PWA-World-Cup-approved and thus also approved for ambitious race and wave events.
How do I properly care for the sail?
Rinse the sail with fresh water after every session, let it dry completely before storing it, and avoid permanent UV exposure in a damp state, so that the windows and laminates stay flexible for a long time.
For which conditions is the Banzai Surf Iris Carbon ideal?
The sail is designed for onshore and sideshore waves, but also for bump-&-jump areas such as the North and Baltic Seas, and offers its balanced, neutral wave feel there.
