FAQ
Who is the Goya Custom Quad 9 Pro Carbon Haiku 2026 designed for?
The Custom Quad 9 Pro Carbon Haiku is aimed at advanced and expert riders looking for a technical, radically rideable waveboard for side-on to cross-off conditions. It is Goya's World Cup waveboard with the narrowest nose and tail outline in the Wave line.
What board sizes are available for the Custom Quad 9 Pro Carbon Haiku?
The Haiku version is available in volumes of 84, 88, 94, 104, and 116 liters. The Pro Carbon variant without the Haiku package is additionally available in 54, 60, 68, 74, and 80 liters.
What distinguishes the Haiku Package from the standard Pro Carbon?
The Haiku Package reduces the weight by 250 to 500 grams depending on the size compared to the already light Pro Carbon. For this, ultralight components and materials are used that make the board even more plane-friendly and lively. An MFC board bag is also included.
What are the dimensions and weight of the board?
The 88-liter model measures 220.9 × 58.1 cm and weighs approximately 5.6 kg in the Haiku version. The 94-liter version measures 222.5 × 59.2 cm at approx. 5.7 kg, the 104-liter version 225.2 × 61.2 cm at approx. 6.2 kg, and the 116-liter version 227.8 × 63.6 cm at approx. 6.5 kg.
What fin setup and fin boxes are installed?
The board uses four US fin boxes with M4x20 screws, designed for a quad or twin setup. MFC Quad Carbon fins are included, which are designed for speed and rail control. The tail is designed as a swallow tail.
What sail sizes can the board be ridden with?
The Custom Quad 9 Pro Carbon Haiku is best suited for 4-batten sails. In the user reviews, sizes from 3.5 to 5.3 m² are described as a perfect match depending on the board volume.
For which conditions is the board optimized?
It is built for World Cup performance from frontside to onshore, but shines especially in side-on to cross-off waves. The further developed rocker, the revised bottom contour, and the tapered rails ensure fast acceleration, high top speed, and a tight turning radius.
How do I properly care for and transport the board?
The included MFC board bag protects the board during transport. After the session, you should rinse it with fresh water and store it protected from direct sunlight. The ultralight thin-coat sealing benefits from careful handling to permanently maintain the low weight.
