The Volar is Goya's ultimate freeride windsurf board, with which you can learn everything you need to have lots of fun in the best sport in the world.
No matter your skill level, the board will enable you to have a perfect day of surfing.
The Volar is fast, slightly narrower than some competitors, but quite stable in the water, accelerating noticeably with every gust of wind. Whether riding straight or jibing, the Volar rides smoothly and controllably.
The slightly thinner profile of the board almost makes you feel like the board belongs to you. Each volume size has been shaped specifically for the corresponding conditions, so that you have the best possible board for changing conditions. The larger sizes are slightly wider.

Who is the Goya Volar suitable for?
The Goya Volar is a versatile freeride and freemove board that is equally suited for beginners, intermediate riders, and advanced riders. Thanks to the adjustable footstrap positions, you can ride it casually indoors or trim it sportily outdoors like a race board.
What volume sizes are available for the Goya Volar?
The Goya Volar is available in five volume sizes: 110 liters, 120 liters, 130 liters, 145 liters, and 160 liters. Each size is specifically tailored to the respective riding conditions and rider weights, with the larger volumes being slightly wider.
Which volume suits my body weight?
As a guideline: The 110 is suitable for lighter riders up to about 75 kg, the 120 for riders up to 85 kg, the 130 for riders around 85 kg, the 145 for heavier riders, and the 160 for light winds and heavy sails. Our team at Surfshop Fehmarn will be happy to advise you on the size selection.
Which sail size suits the Goya Volar?
The recommended sail sizes range from under 8.0 m² on the 110 to under 11.0 m² on the 160. Specifically: 110L up to 8.0 m², 120L up to 8.5 m², 130L up to 9.0 m², 145L up to 10.0 m², and 160L up to 11.0 m².
What fin system does the Goya Volar have?
The Goya Volar is equipped with a powerbox that allows for easy and secure fin changes. The powerbox is not reinforced for use with a foil – if you are looking for a foil-compatible board, we recommend the Bolt in the Foil-Ready version.
Is the Goya Volar foil-compatible?
No, the powerbox of the Goya Volar is not designed for foil use, as Goya deliberately omits the reinforcement required for this purpose to keep the board lighter. For windsurfing and foiling in one model, the Bolt 4 Carbon Foil Ready or the dedicated foil board Airbolt is the better choice.
How does the Goya Volar differ from other freeride boards?
The Goya Volar shares the rocker line with the race-oriented models Carrera, Bolt, and Proton, allowing it to plane significantly earlier and reach higher top speeds than many comparable freeride boards. At the same time, it remains pleasantly stable and forgiving thanks to the wider outline.
What construction versions of the Goya Volar are available?
Goya offers the Volar in different construction levels: Volar Pro (with full carbon deck lamination and carbon fin), Volar as the mid-range variant with a fiberglass fin, as well as the Surf version as a training and beginner model.
