ION Windsurf Harness Icon Curve

FAQ

Who is the ION Icon Curv windsurf harness suitable for?

The ICON Icon Curv is a sporty waist harness aimed at ambitious windsurfers who value direct feedback and a high degree of freedom of movement. It is suitable for both advanced freeriders and waveriders looking for a compact, lightweight harness.

What does the Curv hardshell construction mean?

The Curv technology uses a thermoplastic composite material that is very light yet extremely shape-retaining. This allows the harness to distribute the sail's pulling forces evenly across the back without feeling bulky.

In which sizes is the ION Icon Curv available?

The ICON Icon Curv is available in several sizes, so you can choose a harness that suits your height and waist size. You can find the exact size chart in the selection on the online shop as well as on the ION manufacturer's website.

How do I properly care for my ION Icon Curv?

Rinse the harness with fresh water after every session and let it air dry in the shade. Prolonged direct sunlight can cause the foam core and materials to age more quickly.

Can I also use the ICON Icon Curv for wing foiling or kitesurfing?

In principle, the harness can also be used for wing foiling or kitesurfing with a suitable hook leash. However, for pure kiting, we recommend ION's special kite harness models, as the seat and attachment point are optimally designed for the load.

How do I identify the right size?

Measure your waist circumference at navel level and compare it with the ION size chart. The harness should fit snugly without cutting in, and the Curv shell should sit centered on the back so that the forces are transmitted evenly.

What is included with the harness?

The ION Icon Curv waist harness in the selected size is included in the delivery. A harness leash (hook leash) is not included as standard and can be ordered separately.
