Radical Down-the-Line Wave Board

WAVE EXCELLENCE IN ULTIMATE TECHNOLOGY

Introduced last year, these shapes took the wave scene by storm: In no time, the word got out that they are THE ultimate wave boards! This year’s innovation is a brand-new technology called S-TEC which takes the boards' performance to a whole new level.

The standout detail this year is our ground-breaking S-TEC technology, introduced for the first time in the JP line. The weight savings are impressive: This generation of Ultimate Wave boards is 500 grams or more lighter! This is achieved by several key changes:

  • No paint
  • Reduction of anti-slip, only used in standing areas
  • Reduction of UV lacquer
  • Smaller pads - less EVA and less adhesive
  • Elimination of the rear center fin box
  • Refined lamination process where fibers are prepared and laminated separately

Durability has been maintained at the proven level by replacing the Innegra material with higher-quality S-Glass, combined with Biax Carbon reinforcements and UD Carbon layers under the high-density PVC. Furthermore, the bottom laminate no longer ends at the tuck line but wraps around the rail. Together with the overlapping deck laminate, it acts like an additional stringer along the rails, providing more stiffness while strengthening the rails.
This not only creates a completely new look but also a new riding sensation because it is half a kilogram or more lighter!
The weight-saving construction comes with a minimal use of UV-resistant paint, which may lead to slightly different color tones in certain areas over time.

The ultimate windsurfing experience is riding clean waves down the line, and this is the main purpose these boards were developed for. Every generation of our Pure-Wave boards has been refined to enhance this experience, and the previous lines were already masterpieces in this regard, winning titles on the IWT Wave Tour and dominating the Aloha Classic in recent years. However, the current boards are even better, and we expect them to be even more successful in competitions. But whether you win or not, these boards are guaranteed to provide an incredible riding sensation and boost your wave-riding skills. So, serious wave riders, get ready to elevate your performance and get even more out of everything from mediocre to epic conditions.
The positive feedback from riders using their Magic Wave on the world tour was crucial for the development of these Ultimate Waves.
Our goal was to transfer some of that liveliness and agility to our down-the-line boards, creating an even more engaged and reliable ride that allows advanced wave riders to push their limits even further.
Shaper Werner Gnigler achieved this by combining the Magic Wave swallow tail with the Ultimate Wave nose. The result is a board that allows for even more vertical riding and hitting the lips with more confidence and control. These hybrid boards are fun and incredibly controllable, regardless of wave size.

One of the most essential features of this shape is the straight center scoop-rocker line paired with much more bottom curve along the rails. Werner combines this with an interesting Vee transformation, starting with a moderate Vee in the nose area, transitioning into a single concave between the straps, and finishing with a slight Vee at the tail. The result is effortless early planing and instant speed, allowing you to ride waves with more speed, confidence, control, and a significantly more radical style.
The smooth outline and thin, soft rails end in a refined swallow tail - an indispensable feature on this type of board for maximum grip in fast turns and ultimate acceleration when carving tight turns in smaller waves.
The fin box and standing position are positioned slightly further back compared to previous models, giving the rider the option to adjust their turns at any time with front or back foot pressure. This allows for better control and maneuverability on the wave, enabling riders to fully unleash their skills and creativity from small to huge waves.
QUAD FIN BOXES / NO FINS:
Efficient and economical: In 2025, the boards will be delivered with four short slot boxes for the quad setup. The side fin boxes are even shorter to improve performance. The rarely used alternative center box has been omitted for cost and weight reasons.
Most riders interested in a dedicated wave board already have their favorite wave fins and do not need additional fins.
