FAQ
Who is the Prolimit Assault Kite Waist Harness suitable for?
The Assault is a compact, lightweight waist harness from the Prolimit Softshell series and is aimed at kiters who value maximum freedom of movement. It is suitable for freestyle, surf, and park-style kiteboarding and is a solid step up from entry-level models like the Prolimit Solar.
What closure and spreader bar technology is installed?
The harness uses the EZ Belt construction as a closure and comes with the Alpha spreader bar including a slide-in bar pad. The hook of the Alpha bar has an electroplated finish (Titan Electroplated Finish) and ensures a clean, robust connection.
How does the Assault ensure a good fit and back comfort?
Inside, the Mark III Internal Loadplate works with 4 MPL load straps that distribute the load evenly across the upper, middle, and lower sections. The 3D-shaped compression shell adapts to the back and provides noticeable support without restricting freedom of movement.
Is a Handle Pass Leash included?
Yes, according to Prolimit, a Handle Pass Leash is part of the delivery scope. Also on board: a neoprene interior and neoprene soft edges, which noticeably increase the comfort on the skin and at the harness edge.
In which sizes is the Prolimit Assault available?
The Assault Waist Harness is available in sizes XS, S, M, L, and XL. You can find which size fits your waist circumference in the Prolimit Size Guide table – basically, the measurements are a guide, personal preferences may slightly shift the choice.
For which sport is the harness designed?
The Assault is explicitly designed for kitesurfing: compact, modern shape, 3D-Moulded Construction, and soft neoprene soft edges make it the typical kite waist harness of the Prolimit Softshell series.
How do I properly care for the harness?
After sessions in salt water, rinse the harness with clear fresh water and let it dry in the shade – direct sunlight and heat can damage neoprene and adhesives. Store it flat or loosely hung up so that the 3D shape and the spreader bar permanently retain their shape.
