Short Description
The most compact Drifter platform, built to combine minimal swing weight, instant release, and the most direct high performance feel for pumping or powered foiling.
Description
The Drifter Mini combines the best of our surf, tow, and pump focused shapes into a versatile design for tow, wake, pump, and kite foiling. It’s built for riders who want a light, durable board to travel with, rip behind boats, or towed into waves, with a refined shape that releases smoothly and skips free with minimal drag. These low volume platforms are designed to make deep water sink starts easier and more balanced, while still delivering the instant response progressive riders want once flying. It stays stable enough for beginner tow ups and horizontal style wake starts, then disappears underfoot when you are carving and pumping.
Construction
Carbon. 10% lighter than previous carbon Drifters. Our most advanced full core layup for strength, stiffness, and lightweight performance. Full biaxial and unidirectional carbon reinforced with S-glass for maximum stiffness and impact resistance. Reinforced structure for improved response, feel, and long term durability. Integrated fiberglass windows tuned to 2.4GHz for Foil Assist connectivity.
FAQ
FAQ
FAQ
What is the KT Drifter Surf Pro Carbon board designed for?
The KT Drifter Surf Pro Carbon is a versatile foil board for prone surf foiling, tow/wake foiling, foil assist, and wave wing foiling. This covers all common foiling disciplines and makes it perfect for riders looking for a board for multiple purposes.
What skill level is the board suitable for?
The Drifter Surf Pro Carbon is aimed at advanced and experienced foilers. Ambitious beginners with a solid water start and initial foiling experience will also manage, but beginners to foiling with no prior experience will likely find this board too challenging.
In what sizes is the KT Drifter Surf Pro Carbon available?
The Drifter Surf Pro Carbon is available in three volume variants: 27 liters, 33 liters, and 38 liters. This means you can find both a light, maneuverable board for experienced wave wing foiling and a more buoyant model for slightly more weight or starting in smaller waves.
What construction does the Drifter Surf Pro Carbon have?
The board is made in the Pro Carbon variant, which ensures a very light and at the same time stiff construction. The carbon layer gives the board direct response when pumping, carving, and in wave performance.
For which discipline is the 38-liter model best suited?
The 38-liter model offers the most buoyancy and is particularly suitable for heavier riders, for smaller waves, and for riders who want more stability and easy pop-ups when wing foiling in the waves. The larger variant balances performance, paddling power, and easy take-off.
For which discipline is the 27-liter model best suited?
With 27 liters, the board is the most responsive and compact variant in the family. It is aimed at lighter, advanced riders who prefer a direct, skateboard-like riding feel in the waves and an agile wing setup.
What should I pay attention to when choosing the size?
The choice of the right volume depends on your body weight, your skill level, and your favorite discipline. KT recommends specific weight ranges for each variant according to the type of use on its own product page - check the size chart there before purchasing to optimally tailor the board to you.
Is the board suitable for wave wing foiling?
Yes, the KT Drifter Surf Pro Carbon is expressly designed for wave wing foiling. The board shape allows for clean turns, controlled pumping onto the foil, and stable pop-ups - especially with the Pro Carbon construction, you benefit from direct feedback in the waves.
