KT Wing Air Direct Drive

The Wing Air DD (Direct Drive) is the latest development from the KT Surfing Research and Development department. It complements the original Wing Air and features robust handles as well as a reinforced leading edge (LE) and strut construction.

Thanks to the double-layer Dacron construction at all highly stressed points of the LE and strut connections, as well as a revised, extremely durable and form-fitting sewing technique at important LE connections, the DD's inflatable frame is stiffer and more resistant than ever before. It easily withstands the stresses of waves, jumps, and strong winds.

Our new Direct Drive handles are light and slim and feature a contoured EVA foam grip for optimal handling.

The stable handles enable full control and direct drive of the wing in all three dimensions. This allows you to increase your pumping power and efficiency and precisely adjust your power and control zones while riding. Thanks to the increased frame stiffness of our new construction, we have optimized our handle system. We have removed the Y-handles that connect the strut to the front section, as well as the center handle on the strut. This saves weight and enables more precise and direct turns and tacks, as you always reach the same firm direct-drive grip. The ends of the handle connection are open, so you can easily attach a harness line if needed. The extended, balanced handles make one-handed winging easier.

The Wing Air DD is available in fluorescent orange from 2.0 m² to 6.0 m² and is the perfect wing for long days, epic downwind tours, and relaxed rides with friends.
