Description

The Ryde remains the most popular freeride sail for easy planing and user-friendly handling. Quick to rig and light in the hand, it is a stable, smooth-running sail that builds confidence in jibes, waterstarts, and relaxed planing.

For 2026, we have added Ultra PE X-Ply to the foot and clew panels, which increases durability while saving weight for even more relaxed and longer sessions.

Whether on the fin or with the foil, the wide wind range and easy handling make it possible to enjoy every session from the start. The HD version features an X-Ply window for maximum durability with the lowest possible weight.

Specifications

  • Light, stable and easy to ride.

In which sizes is the Ryde HD 2026 available?

The sail is offered in five sizes: 5.7, 6.2, 6.7, 7.2, and 7.7, covering a wide range of wind conditions and rider weights.

Can I also ride the Ryde HD 2026 with a foil?

Yes, although the Ryde HD is designed for fin riding, NeilPryde states that it is also suitable for foiling and impresses with a wide wind range.

What does the HD version mean compared to the standard Ryde?

The HD version uses an X-Ply window that increases durability while saving weight. For 2026, Ultra PE X-Ply is also used in the foot and sheet horn panels.

How many battens and camber does the sail have?

The Ryde HD 2026 has a 6-batten layout and comes without camber, allowing for quick rigging, easy water starts, and uncomplicated jibes.

What features make the sail robust and light?

Taffeta in the luff and sheet horn area distributes loads, tubular battens ensure a stable, light profile, and the laminated panels are printed internally for more longevity at a low weight.

For which area of use is the Ryde HD 2026 ideal?

It is designed for flatwater blasting, relaxed jibes, and easy water starts – making it the perfect companion for classic freeride sessions on inland waters and areas with flat water.
