FAQ
FAQ
FAQ
What makes the NeilPryde X100 RDM windsurf mast stand out?
The NeilPryde X100 RDM is made from 100% mid-modulus carbon and offers professional-level responsiveness and weight. Compared to the X100 PRO series, it is more affordable and at the same time more robust, without losing any noticeable performance.
For which applications is the X100 RDM particularly suitable?
The mast is ideal for top-level freeride and freerace sails and is equally suitable for wave riders who are looking for an additional level of strength and durability compared to the X100 PRO series.
What lengths are available for the X100 RDM?
The NeilPryde X100 RDM is available in several lengths, covering the entire spectrum from small wave sails to large freerace sails. You can find the exact available lengths in the variant selection in the shop.
What does RDM mean in windsurf masts?
RDM stands for Reduced Diameter Mast – the mast has a smaller diameter than a classic SDM mast. This makes it more flexible, lighter, and particularly suitable for strong wind conditions as well as for lighter riders who prefer a forgiving, comfortable riding experience.
What bend curve does the X100 RDM have?
The shorter lengths of the X100 RDM are designed as Flex Top, while the longer versions come with Constant Curve / Flex Top. Both curves ensure a harmonious interaction with the respective sail and balanced profile fidelity.
How do I properly care for my NeilPryde carbon mast?
After sessions, rinse the mast in salt water with clear fresh water, dry it thoroughly, and store it in a mast bag to protect the surface from scratches and UV radiation. Avoid permanent stress from impacts or bends so that the carbon structure remains intact in the long term.
Does the X100 RDM fit every sail?
The X100 RDM harmonizes particularly well with modern freeride, freerace, and wave sails designed for the RDM diameter. Make sure that the selected mast length and the specified sail size match to achieve optimal profile fidelity.
Where is the NeilPryde X100 RDM manufactured?
NeilPryde produces the masts for 2025 in a new European factory in Croatia. This ensures consistently high quality standards and short delivery routes for the European market.
