FAQ
What water temperatures is the Prolimit Predator Boot Split Toe 5.5mm suitable for?
The Prolimit Predator Boot with 5.5 mm neoprene, GBS seams and armored insole is designed for cold water and use in the North and Baltic Seas. The combination of Airflex 500+ Limestone neoprene and glued blindstitch seams reliably keeps your feet warm even at low temperatures.
What does GBS mean on this neoprene boot?
GBS stands for Glued and Blind Stitched. The seams are first glued and then blind-stitched, so that the needle does not fully penetrate the neoprene. This allows significantly less water to enter and keeps the boot dry and warm inside for longer.
What advantages does the armored insole offer?
The aramid-reinforced insole protects your feet from sharp shells, rocks or other cutting material on the bottom. This makes the Predator Boot particularly suitable for areas with rocky entry points, reefs or shallow shore zones.
What are the benefits of the internal split toe on the Predator Boot?
The internal split toe separates the big toe slightly, giving you more feel and control on the board. You maintain a more direct barefoot feel when kiting, windsurfing or wing foiling, without having to give up the protection of a boot.
In which sizes is the Predator Boot Split Toe available?
The unisex boot is available in eight sizes from EU 36 to EU 46/47, including double sizes such as 37/38, 40/41 and 43/44. This means you can find the right fit for both narrower and wider feet.
Is the boot also suitable for wing foiling and SUP?
Yes, the Predator Boot is a classic all-purpose watersports boot and is worn for kitesurfing, windsurfing, wing foiling, surfing and stand-up paddling in cold water. The grippy sole with Foot Lock Arch Control gives you a secure grip on all boards.
How do you properly care for the Prolimit Predator Boot?
Rinse the boot out with fresh water after every session, let it dry slowly in the air and avoid direct heat or bright sunlight. This keeps the neoprene, glued seams and armored sole elastic and functional for a long time.
What is the easiest way to put on and take off the boot?
The flexible calf panel and the heel webbing loop at the back of the shoe make putting on and taking off much easier. Simply grab the loop at the heel and pull the boot evenly over your foot without pulling on the sensitive neoprene.
