FAQ
FAQ
FAQ
Which water sports is the ProLimit Shield Free-X 5/3 GBS designed for?
The Shield Free-X 5/3 GBS is designed for foiling, wing foiling, and other water sports with a high risk of impact from the board, foil, or mast. The reinforced shield zones protect exactly where it hurts most during falls or collisions.
How thick is the neoprene and what temperature range is it suitable for?
The suit is a classic 5/3 mm full suit with 5 mm on the body and 3 mm on the arms and legs. This makes it the right choice for cooler to cold sessions in the North and Baltic Seas, as well as comparable areas.
What closure system does the Shield Free-X have?
The suit uses the YKK Free-X asymmetrical front zipper. It opens and closes particularly easily, allowing you to put on and take off the suit without exertion – a major advantage after wet sessions on Fehmarn.
What protective features does the suit offer?
Strategically placed shield zones, additional shoulder padding with fluid neoprene on the outside and memory padding on the inside, armored KED knee pads, and armor in the shin area. A Tatex patch on the shoulder also makes carrying the foil board to the water easier.
How is the suit constructed and what material is used?
The seams are welded using the FTM method (Fluid Taping Method), which reduces water entry points. Inside, the Zodiac2 plush coating ensures quick drying and warmth, while Airflex 550+ limestone neoprene is used on the outside.
What sizes is the Shield Free-X 5/3 GBS available in?
The suit is available in several sizes from XS to XXL, including the MT and LT long and medium-tall cuts. This way, you will find a suitable silhouette even with a taller or more compact build.
How do you properly care for the neoprene suit?
Rinse the suit with fresh water after every session, let it dry in the shade, and avoid direct sunlight as well as permanent creases. This keeps the seams, plush lining, and armored zones functional for a long time.
