RDM Mast Sleeve for Goya, Gaastra, Aeron and Unifiber

FAQ

Which brands is the RDM mast sleeve compatible with?

The standard adapter is designed to fit the universal joints of Goya, Gaastra, Aeron and Unifiber, ensuring a secure connection between the RDM mast and the universal joint head.

Is the sleeve suitable for RDM or SDM masts?

The mast sleeve has the correct reduced diameter for all skinny or RDM (Reduced Diameter) masts and is not intended for conventional SDM masts.

What is a mast sleeve used for on a universal joint?

The mast sleeve secures the mast in the universal joint head, compensates for the smaller RDM diameter and protects the mast at this high-stress point from abrasion and slipping.

Can I also use the sleeve with other boom brands?

The adapter is specifically designed for the brands mentioned. For other makes, we recommend checking the fit in the universal joint head before use or using a model-specific adapter from the respective manufacturer.

Is the mast sleeve suitable for use in the North and Baltic Seas?

Yes, the sleeve is robust enough for use in areas such as Fehmarn, the North and Baltic Seas. As with all windsurfing equipment, you should regularly check it for tears or wear.

How do I properly care for the RDM mast sleeve?

After sessions in salt water, rinse the sleeve with fresh water, let it dry and regularly check it for tears or deformation. This ensures that it continues to fit properly in the universal joint.
