Who is the Severne Dyno suitable for?
The Dyno is aimed at beginners, intermediate riders, and advanced riders looking for a versatile Freewave board for bump & jump, freeride, and real waves. The compact outline and balanced volume distribution provide a stable platform from which you can continue to develop in every area.
In which sizes is the Severne Dyno available?
The Dyno is available in volumes of 85, 95, 105, and 115 liters. This covers a wide range of rider weights – according to Severne, 85 liters is suitable for 60 to 80 kg as a main board, 95 liters for 70 to 90 kg, 105 liters for 80 to 100 kg, and 115 liters for 90 to 110 kg.
Which sail size is suitable for the Dyno?
Depending on the volume, the Dyno covers a sail range of 3.7 to 7.5 m² according to the manufacturer. For the 95L version, Severne recommends sails between 4.0 and 6.5 m², for the 115L version 4.5 to 7.5 m². This allows the board to be ridden in a very wide wind range.
Can I ride the Dyno as a thruster and as a single fin?
Yes, the Dyno is a true configuration board. In thruster mode (two SlotBox+ side fins plus a central Powerbox fin), you ride it controlled in the wave or at bump & jump. With a single freeride fin and outward-set foot straps, you transform it into a pure blasting machine for flat water and top speed.
How heavy is the Severne Dyno?
The weight varies depending on the size: 85L approx. 6.05 kg, 95L approx. 6.47 kg, 105L approx. 6.74 kg, and 115L approx. 6.93 kg (manufacturer's specification, tolerance ±5%). This makes the Dyno relatively light and stiff, which supports early planing and direct feedback when carving.
How do I properly care for the Dyno?
Rinse the board with fresh water after every session, especially after use in salt water or brackish water. The Gore-Tex vent must neither be touched nor removed – it automatically regulates the internal pressure. Severne recommends replacing the vent approximately every three years; you can find instructions in the product care section.
