FAQ
Who is the Severne Gator 2025 suitable for?
The Severne Gator 2025 is a Freemove sail for riders who want to get up and planing early, tack easily, and get the best out of every condition on freeride or freewave boards. It is suitable for bump & jump, freeride, and freeride-oriented freewave surfing.
What construction does the Gator 2025 have?
The sail is made 100 percent from X-Ply and uses the eM3 and eM4 premium laminates. SpiderFibre reinforcements strategically distribute the loads across the seams and sail body, for minimal weight with maximum strength.
How many battens does the Severne Gator have?
The Gator 2025 comes with five battens per sail and without tube battens (No Tube Battens). This makes it lighter and less susceptible to damage.
Which mast is suitable for the Gator 2025?
An RDM mast (Red or Blue) in the appropriate length is recommended. SDM is not intended. The mast length varies depending on the selected sail size.
Which boom can I use for the Gator?
All sizes of the Gator 2025 can be rigged on a single Enigma 160 boom with a 160 to 210 cm span. This greatly simplifies your quiver.
What does Xtended Range Technology mean?
Xtended Range Technology ensures that each sail size covers a wider wind range. You need fewer sails in your quiver to cover all conditions from butter-smooth water to choppy bump & jump.
How does the Gator differ from the NCX?
The Gator is a full X-Ply bump-and-jump sail with a wave outline that gets up and planing earlier, with fewer battens and lower weight. The NCX, on the other hand, is designed for more speed and a monofilm construction.
How do I care for and repair my Gator sail?
Rinse the sail with fresh water after the session and let it dry before storing it. You can get spare parts and repair materials from your Severne dealer or the official distributor.
