Description

The Metal Boom by Severne received an update in 2019. Not only was the design changed, but also a few small but fine details (see the YouTube from Surfshop Fehmarn). It is a light, T8 aluminum, monocoque construction boom, which is intended to appeal to particularly light riders. Because all sizes are equipped with only a 26 cm shaft diameter and are thus perfect for smaller hands and more relaxed, longer surfing. The “Lockjaw” is a specially designed headpiece, with a wide T-piece and a large-area counter-reception. This ensures, together with a rubber coating, a bombproof hold. There are also two rubber buffers at the front end to cushion impacts and falls. The lever is very large and thus easy to operate. The end piece is also a proprietary design and is equipped with a practical “Loop-to-Loop” function. The grip consists entirely of one piece of EVA, so that nothing can come loose here.

The two small sizes 140-190 cm and 150-200cm are equipped with an RDM headpiece and are in the Wave design, so narrow cut.

The sizes 160-210 cm and 170-220 cm are designed as a Freemove boom, slightly wider and have an SDM headpiece.
