FAQ

What is the Slingshot Brass Nut M8 nut used for?

Which Slingshot foil boards is the Brass Nut compatible with?

The nut is suitable for all Slingshot foil boards with a US-style track system, making it compatible with the entire current Slingshot foil board range.

What material is the nut made of?

The Slingshot Brass Nut is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, making it perfectly suited for long-term use in saltwater.

What screw size fits this nut?

The nut has an M8 internal thread and is designed for Slingshot foil mounting hardware, such as M8 x 50 mm stainless steel countersunk screws.

How many nuts are included in the delivery?

Exactly one M8 nut is included in the delivery, allowing you to replace individual lost or misplaced parts as needed.

How can I tell if I need a new nut?

If your foil no longer moves freely in the track rail, the screw in the nut strips, or the nut no longer grips at all, you should replace it to ensure a secure hold of the mast.

Is the Brass Nut compatible with third-party foils?

The nut is primarily designed for Slingshot foil boards and Slingshot foils such as the Hover Glide and Phantasm. Foils from other brands may differ in thread size and geometry, so check compatibility before purchasing.

How do I properly care for the nut?

Rinse the nut with fresh water after every session and regularly check the thread for salt residue or corrosion to ensure the screw grips properly and the track rail is not damaged.
