It is a Fatbar spreader bar by ProLimit for kitesurfing harnesses, equipped with dual strap attachment and a quick release system (Quick Pin-Release).

What sizes are available?

The spreader bar is available in four sizes: 21, 24, 28 and 31 cm. This way you can find the right version for your harness and your body size.

What is the dual strap attachment good for?

The Dual-Webbing construction distributes the pulling forces evenly over two straps and thus ensures a stable, secure fit of the harness when kiting.

How does the Pin-Release system work?

The Quick Pin-Release allows you to quickly open the spreader bar via bolt closure if necessary – for example in an emergency or when quickly exiting the harness.

Does this spreader bar fit my kite harness?

The Spreader Bar is designed as a replacement or accessory part for kitesurfing harnesses with Fatbar mount and Pin-Release system. Check before purchase whether your harness has the corresponding mount and the right closure.

Is the spreader bar only suitable for kitesurfing?

According to the manufacturer, it is explicitly designed for use in kitesurfing. The FAT construction with Dual Webbing and Pin-Release is tailored to the typical loads and safety requirements when kiting.

How do I properly care for the spreader bar?

Rinse the bar with fresh water after every session to remove salt and sand, and let it dry completely. Regularly check the pin closure, the strap attachment and the webbing interfaces for wear.
