What material is the fin made of?

The fin is made of ultralight 3K prepreg twill carbon, the same layup Starboard uses for its World Champion paddle, Lima. This ensures minimal weight with very stiff performance.

What fin box does the Fin Samurai require?

The Fin Samurai is mounted with a US Track Box. This means it fits standard SUP race boards with a US box mount.

What size is the fin?

The Fin Samurai SUP is 192 mm long, making it a small race fin for more speed and maneuverability, especially in technical races.

How thin is the trailing edge and what are the benefits?

The trailing edge is only 0.4 mm thick. This ensures a very clean water release, less turbulence, and therefore more top speed.

Who co-developed the fin?
