What is included in the delivery of the Starboard Wing Glider Quick Lock II?

The wing set consists of the Glider front wing, the RAZR 250 H.A.R. tail wing, and a 36 cm carbon tail piece. The necessary bolts and a Torx key are also included. The mast and board are not included.

Do I need a mast to ride the wing set?

Yes, the wing set must be combined with a separate Starboard mast set to create a complete foil. You can choose between the aluminum V8 mast set and the Monolithic Carbon mast set, both of which are Quick Lock II compatible.

Does the Glider front wing also fit other fuselages?

The Quick Lock II front wings fit exclusively on Quick Lock II fuselages. They are not compatible with the first Quick Lock generation or with the Evolution fuselages.

What applications is the Glider designed for?

The Glider is designed as a wide, super-high aspect wing for maximum glide performance and flight efficiency. It is ideal for lakes, shallow water, and connecting several small waves when wing foiling, wave foiling, and wake foiling.

How does the Quick Lock II system work?

The front wing is pushed onto the fuselage and secured by turning the compression screw half a turn. According to the manufacturer, the system is twice as stiff and twice as strong as the original Quick Lock and allows for assembly in around 18 seconds.

Can I individually adjust the wing base?

Yes, 20 mm spacers are included, allowing you to increase the distance between the front and tail wings by up to 40 mm. This allows you to trim the setup between maximum maneuverability and greater flight stability.

What material is the wing set made of?

The wings are made from 100 percent high-modulus pre-preg carbon fiber, a mixture of unidirectional and biaxial fibers with a particularly lightweight core. The tail wing consists of 28 layers of high-modulus carbon, and the tail piece is made of carbon.

What is the best way to transport and maintain the wing set?

For safe transport, Starboard recommends using wing covers as well as a suitable team bag. After use in saltwater, rinse the set with freshwater and regularly check that the screws are securely tightened so that you can enjoy your foil for a long time.
